The OGCC Youth Group is dedicated to helping teens deepen their understanding of God's Word and navigate life through a Christ-centered lens.

Our Mission

Shepherding Hearts

Shepherding Hearts

We believe every student who walks through our doors should be seen, known, and loved by a consistent, Christ-centered mentor. Our youth minister will walk beside them through both victories and valleys, helping them grow in a genuine relationship with Jesus. Just as Paul urged Timothy to “entrust [the gospel] to faithful people who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2), our goal is to equip students through relationships that reflect God’s care and truth. We also seek to partner with parents — the first and most important spiritual voices in a student’s life (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).

Good Soil Environments

We strive to create spaces where students feel safe, welcome, and valued — places filled with laughter, friendship, and honest conversation. In these environments, students encounter God’s Word and see how it applies to real life. Scripture teaches that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17), so our gatherings are centered on teaching that is both biblically grounded and relevant to today’s world. When students are surrounded by community and Scripture, hearts are softened, and transformation begins.

A Lamp to Their Path

A Lamp to Their Path

We want every student to understand who they are and whose they are. They are not defined by the world but by their Creator — chosen, loved, and called for a purpose (Ephesians 2:10, 1 Peter 2:9). God has a unique plan for each of their lives, and discovering that purpose begins with walking daily in His truth. As students grow in their identity in Christ, they begin to see that their lives are part of His greater story — one that changes them and impacts others for eternity.

You're Invited!

We believe that equipping the next generation with a strong foundation in God’s Word is essential. Our youth classes are designed to help students grow in biblical knowledge, strengthen their faith, and learn how to live out their walk with Christ each day. Through teaching, discussion, and community, we encourage spiritual growth that prepares them to follow Jesus with confidence. We offer several classes throughout the week!
